Product Description
Rødvig Final Coat is a fine-grained lime mortar consisting of Rødvig Slaked Lime, Rødvig Jurassic Lime and Kronhøj Mortar Sand (0-0,3 mm).
Field of Application
Rødvig Final Coat is suitable for the final plastering of exterior building details such as cornices, which should have a strong surface and be crisply delineated.
Packaging
The mortar is delivered as a 2-component mortar. In 20-litre plastic buckets with hermetic lids, 7.6 kilos of Rødvig slaked lime mortar has been weighed 1:1 (0-0.3 mm). In an accompanying enclosed plastic bag, 7.2 kilos of Rødvig jurassic mortar has been weighed 1½:3 (0-0.3 mm).

Therefore, we do not take on the responsibility of being planning technicians. With regards to renovation work, we can refer to technicians who are familiar with renovation work on buildings worthy of preservation.
Mixing
We deliver Rødvig final coat as a 2-component mortar. In 20-litre plastic buckets with hermetic lids, 7.6 kilos of Rødvig slaked lime mortar has been weighed 1:1 (0-0.3 mm). In an enclosed plastic bag, 7.2 kilos of Rødvig jurassic mortar has been weighed 1½:3 (0-0.3 mm). Mix the Jurassic mortar with the Rødvig slaked lime mortar in the bucket, and add the desired amount of water. During the mixing, the final coat is created in the ratio 1:1½:4 (0-0.3 mm).
Execution
When cornices and such have been straightened as evenly as possible with the coarse Rødvig Jurassic mortar KKh 20/80/475, you can finish off with the final coat. It is applied in very thin layers so that the above-mentioned mixture can cover a cornice of approx. 15-20 metres.
Limitations of Use
The mixed final coat should be used within approx. 2 hours.
If there are many cracks in the plaster layer, final coat or paint should not be applied here as this very well could cause this layer to crack, corresponding to the cracks in the foundation. In those cases, it would be necessary to change the plaster layer.
Storage
Final coat is stored in a dry and frost-free place.
